My amazing surprise from Dubai!

My sister loves travelling. In fact, she wants to travel the world. Well, who wouldn't? So when she was leaving on her recent trip to Dubai and she asked me what I wanted, I told her to surprise me (I generally hate surprises, but then I wasn't sure what to ask - I didn't want it to be too big, or worse - too small!). Well, I might have hinted at makeup a bit. But no one can prove that.

 

So when she got back, I didn't know what to expect. I even thought that she might not have brought anything. But when I got up the morning that she reached, I saw this gorgeous makeup kit from CP Trendies lying innocently on my dresser!

CP Trendies is a popular local Dubai brand, known for its quality affordable makeup. Though it distributes its products worldwide, availablility in India is not so great, but you may come across some of their products online.

On playing around a bit on Google, I found out that the multikit my dear sister bought for me is called Cleopatra's Secret. It contains the following:

• 16 shades of eyeshadows, including 4 creamy eyeshadows
• 16 lip colours
• 1 compact powder
• 2 blushers
• 3 lipgloss pots
• 1 lipgloss wand
• 1 puff
• 1 lip brush
• 1 blush brush
• 1 dual ended applicator
• 1 mirror

Obviously, I spent the next half an hour (half an hour is all I'm willing to admit!) ogling at the kit and playing with the box. It's such a pleasure to open and close! I will be reviewing it (properly, not just going by the swatches and looks I tried by mixing and matching the various eyeshadows and lip colours out of sheer excitement), but going through all those shades of eyeshadows and lip colours is going to take a while. So be patient (I'm not sure whether I'm trying to convince you or myself :-P ).
